![In this video, we see the disturbing act of someone pouring sihr (magic) at another’s doorstep—a practice that brings immense harm and destruction. Sihr is a grave sin in Islam, and those who engage in it are warned of severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter. Allah (ﷻ) says in the Qur’an: ‘And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic…’ (Surah Al-Baqarah: 102) Sihr is not just a sin; it is an act of oppression that destroys families, causes illness, spreads hatred, and distances people from Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Avoid the seven destructive sins.” Among them, he mentioned sihr (magic). (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) Additionally, Islam places immense importance on the rights of neighbors. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Jibreel kept recommending me about treating neighbors kindly and politely, so much so that I thought he would order me to make them my heirs.” (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) Harming a neighbor through sihr or any other means is an act of betrayal against the trust Allah has placed upon us. Such acts destroy relationships and go against the teachings of Islam. To protect ourselves from harm, we must seek refuge in Allah, recite the Mu’awwidhatayn (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas), and trust in His protection. Let this video serve as a reminder to treat neighbors with kindness, uphold their rights, and never engage in acts that displease Allah.
