i am lorelai but with some similarities to emily and i’m sure when i say it takes two people in a relationship to be able to make it work. when emily was trying to make it work lorelai wasn’t and when lorelai was emily wasn’t. when they where both trying the past would come and haunt them. some relationships just aren’t easy and that’s just life

They loved her but they had a different path for her than what she wanted and they didn’t know how to cope with her becoming independent and I think a small part of them is always proud that she went on her own and succeeded but we’re still angry at how she left and that they couldn’t control any of it

the truth is Emily is like my dad. they try, so hard - and sometimes you see that and you love it..but eventually there true colors show again and you are reminded that deep down they are not a good person. Never related to a character more than Lorelai.
