i think you cant wait on the intersection as you have dedicated siganl lights for left turn😊 unless you have your signal green you cant enter the intersection in that scenario

You have to also look for pedestrians or people on bikes etc. who may be crossing the intersection. Not just for a gap in cars.

It looks like you creeped up and turned into traffic to wait. You really need to stay straight until you are able to make your complete turn. If you don't you will get docked marks or you could get an immediate fail, depending on where you're being tested. The reason this is important, is because if you get rear ended and your wheels are turned, you're going head on into oncoming traffic.
