Have you been on it before ? I would tell her , but if not just ask what drugs cover my diagnosis ? If it’s in your medical history show proof & say what are my options . How long have you been on the Wellbutrin & vistril . Which I take 2 for sleep .

Explain all of your symptoms, your prior diagnosis, how it’s debilitating your ability to manage your life right now, tell her what has worked in the past and ask if she feels that is a good option or if she feels something else for ADHD would work better. Be polite but advocate for yourself.

As someone who has been on that for many years. You have to ask to test for it or show proof of testing for it.. especially if you are also on a regulated med for anxiety. I’m on the same situation. Don’t ask for the med, ask to clear for the diagnosis

Bring it up as a conversation, not a request. Ask if it’s something worth exploring for X, Y, Z. I am on both Wellbutrin and Addy myself. It poses cardiac risk and has to be monitored but just bring it up and even share that you’re nervous to bring it up!

actually my anxiety, a large portion, was because of my ADHD!!! I was put on Strattera first and went up to the highest dose and it wasn't doing anything so finally got switched to a form of Ritiln! Anxiety and ADHD don't mix I think. at least not for me

Wellbutrin made me so mean. Every single time I tried to take it. You need to talk to her so she can properly diagnosis and then make med adjustments.

tell your therapist you've been diagnoses with ADD in the past and you think you would benefit from taking meds for it. my daughter just went through the process and they wanted to get anxiety under control first and then started stimulants

let her know you have adhd and it effects your day to day life. she might have you wait until your anxiety and depression are managed with meds before they take that step. they say some adhd symptoms are linked with anxiety.

Some psychiatrist can’t prescribe it , but as long as you have your diagnosis they should prescribe it to you . Say it’s been a while since I’ve been on it but I’m trying to take control of your life .

You can ask how do I know if I have ADHD. Or just describe your symptoms and say they are getting worse. I take vyvanse. Some insurances will make you try all the other meds until they prescribe that.

Wellbutrin changed my life!!! I added it to my lexapro that I had already been on for a couple of years and it was such a game changer for me! It def makes me kind of groggy though

You should be discussing your adhd with her. Ask to be treated for your adhd. Since you are adult she will most likely ask you what you have taken for adhd previously

You have to let her know the symptoms of adhd that you have and let her know that you have been diagnosed. I had my psych come to the conclusion that some of my anxiety came from a lack of motivation due to the adhd.

Talk with your provider about needing some assistance with treating your adhd. Vyvanse or a non stimulant intuniv may both be an option. If you’ve previously been on a medication to treat your ADHD then it’s worth messaging and saying that you feel that your adhd is exacerbated and would like to be put back on something to help manage that.. Be mindful that treating the anxiety can increase the adhd symptoms. Also- treating the adhd can stimulate your anxiety.
