Hard disagree. I’ve seen grown adults steal from their parents, say unforgivable things, use family members for money, be violent etc. at that point a parent is allowed to release responsibility for a grown adult

Unpopular opinion (unpopular to parents at least): your children owe you nothing. Not now, not then, not ever. Having kids is 100% preventable, but you chose to go through with it anyway. 🤷🏽♀️

I disagree parents can steer you in the right direction but you ultimately decide your own path. My brother is in and out of jail, abuses women and lives with our parents. The rest of the siblings us are doing just fine. My brother chooses to live his life style

At some point you have to get over blaming your parents for everything. Yeah they chose to have you, but that’s a part of life. Hardly anyone was woke enough to think about these things 20,30,40 years ago when they had us. Now a lot of us in developed countries are opting out of having kids (to the detriment of the world) because we realize the lifelong responsibility of it.

This is so true💯. Sometimes when I'm fed-up supporting my 24yrs son, I always remind myself that he didn't ask to be here. My decision landed him here(earth). That is how I calmed myself and continue the struggle 😅 😔❤️

I’m about 80/20 on this. As a parent who currently has teens… YES. But as an adult, I think there needs to be some parameters… do I wanna pay my bills? No! Can I? Yes. So when is it their responsibility and when is it my choices?

damn crazy my dad gave up awhile ago and my mom thinks were besties not mother daughter so uses me as her therapist and expects me to figure out everything on my own and made me open a bank account at 8 to start saving money if i wanted to go to college. wouldnt it be nice if they felt this way
