Not other people’s kids. They’re fine sacrificing their OWN kids. When that unvaccinated little girl in Texas died of the measles, her parents told the news they didn’t regret not vaccinating her. They said she was better off where she is now.

had a friend that got a "religious exemption" from vaccinations, she's not even religious she just doesn't want to take her kids to get their vaccines because it's "too much work" she has a warrant out for her arrest now for failing to show up to court for child neglect 🙄

Oh my gosh I so agree with this ESPECIALLY as someone who had some vaccines not take and now even after being re vaccinated I still have a very messed up immune system. Vaccines work and are so important!!!

I always try and remember that they are super unaware and actively misled by others with nefarious intent. That doesn’t make it okay, but it helps me stay empathetic. Same with voting and politics… they are unaware, and often duped by nefarious others

I had a severe reaction to the MMR vaccine, like thought it was leukemia level severe. I cannot get fully vaccinated, and yet there is yet another measles outbreak so now I need to panic and check numbers daily. also I'm still autistic. 🙃

My great grandmother was one of 20 children. Half of which did not make it past childhood because of influenza. We have the knowledge and medical technology now to prevent that kind of suffering.

it’s very hard for me as the big sis to a little bro who now has severe long term covid. he was a healthy teen & now his life is so difficult, but the worst part is the hatred he’s faced from disbelievers. 🥺

the anti-intellectualism and distrust of science is horrifying. and, i feel like this really ties back to what you've spoken on regarding people wanting community without themselves engaging and being a part, just expecting to reap the benefits regardless. i hear the "herd immunity" excuse often for why it's okay for a child to not be vaccinated, but that still smacks of selfishness and a disregard for others' health and safety + expecting their community to protect children when parents can do it themselves by vaccinating their children.
