These were the hotels we stayed at for convention in 2022. So it's not like the hotels didn't have an understanding of what it would be like. The elevator system is more touch screen which is a pain. Sheridan still use the same feature which we appreciate.

I wasn't there this year, but the staff at Vegas were very prepared. Also, the nfb posted where the relief area was. Last, I am just glad no one was belittled & called animals this year.

The last time it was in New Orleans it was not at this hotel. It was at a different hotel, cause I know people that went.

nfb recruited a number of volunteers to help, and they provided very detailed maps and details regarding guide dog relief areas, and they verbally made note of the location many times. i asked the staff where this was located and they let me know very kindly and appropriately. i’m not sure what else the nfb or the hotel staff could have done.

What are you doing to make sure that the convention experience is improved for yourself and/or others who will be attending? Also, please make sure you get the Federation‘s name right. It is National Federation of the Blind, not for the blind.

NFB dropped the ball last year at Washington State show. so it doesn't surprise me.

They had NFB in New Orleans in 2022 so Marriott and Sheraton knew in advanced

From day 1 to now things have drastically improved. I’m not impressed with the way things started, but they really stepped up. Honestly days 1 and 2, maybe 3 we’re rough, but the rest went great!

Maybe I should go to one of these conventions. I’ve already been to the state convention and that was a interesting experience. I have mixed opinions about it.

They had it at the Marriott when I went last time it was in New Orleans and they had a relief area outside. They should have been prepared!

Nice update video. I would love to hear about some of the things that you did at this convention. I am just now immersed in the blind world here in the United States. Or anywhere, lol. TikTok has done that for me since January. What goes on at these conventions.? What did you do?
