I do not understand why people who create shows and movies want to pump up their character by pitting them against some of the most popular characters in the franchise. Like most everybody loves Iron Man. almost everyone loves Superman and Batman. trying to one up them with a b-list character will NEVER be anything but goofy to most people.

I wont claim to know the most about DC and its lore, ive only really watched the animated universe (the one from 10+ years ago) and that was a long time ago, but the rock saying something about "disrupting the power" or whatever makes me think "couldnt Darkseid solo you with little effort?" I mean the one in JLU literally required Lex to pull some bullshit trick on him, not even the entire Justice League (which was a HUGE amount of heroes in that series) could win against Darkseid there
