Nah if you invited to the cookout someone in that family trust you, or they would not have you around their loved ones. What folks have to understand it’s so much more than just the food. That means they see and FEEL the good in you.

I'll say this: I've been invited to many cookouts ever since I was 9 years old. It's way overrated. Basically, you sit there and listen to how much better black people are than white people. They talk shit about whoever isn't there. The food is okay; only their grandma and one uncle know how to cook well. Theres gonna be about 10 of that dont like you, and just waiting for you to say the wrong thing. Its cool, but it aint that cool.
