I always feel like it’s easier on the platform. Only thing that feels harder on the platform is squat. I’ve added 100 pounds to my bench and deadlift but squat still the same

I press 365 in the gym and still managed to hit 355 in a comp, but you're totally right. In a comp it's basically a pause rep, it's gnarly and most people don't train with that kind of tempo.

agreed. the commands throw everything off unless you are training with them and using the perfect form. your gym pr and your comp pr are two very different lifts.

For every bench press workout, I pause at every rep for atleast a second. Man do my numbers suck but I’m getting mentally prepared for those bench commands.

I always practiced it with camands. I had a great mentor and great workout partners. I hit a new PR at every meet I competed in for 3 years in a row.

Sumo vs conventional need to be in seperate divisions for full power. doing deadlift only both are vs. but about your bench topic I agree. I have a hard time hearing the commands due to the brace and pressing. I always get dizzy lol and almost pass out lol 😆 😅 then my hearing comes back 🤣 I almost die e every time. 💪💀🔥
