There’s something beautiful when watching horses realize they are safe. They are such spiritual animals already. It’s so rewarding. I rescued a mare from a kill shelter, best horse I ever owned.

My grandfather is a horse whisperer and the biggest lesson I learned from him was patience. He would sit in the field and just wait. The wildest of horses would come to him eventually. His calmness with horses was magical to witness. He’s 80 now and doesn’t have any, but it was his gift for sure.
