I took it as "limit" would be to shorten the word carbon itself to just it's first letter? it's not fully carbon, it's limited?

i got it!!! but in my thoughts i thought “to limit” was like to “trap” the letter C in some sort of way, like to bound both sides of it, so putting “tra” and “k” on the sides of “c”, youre “limiting” it

i agree, this clue was easy but doesn’t really work for me. limit feels like a stretch to fit the sentence as a normal sentence, not great as an indicator
