I love the idea but I hate when ppl give me gifts that are of their taste and not mine. It makes me feel like they don't know me or they bought gifts for me but with themselves in mine.

I love that even though you don’t have kids you are considerate of your friends who do. A real one.

i love the “what would make me feel good?” and using that as a reference point because so many moms, including myself, aren’t seen as just women once we have kids. our identity becomes solely just being a mom. i bet she’s overjoyed to still have someone see her as HERSELF outside of motherhood 🥹

Thank you for doing this for HER! People make it all about the baby and oftentimes disregard Mom.

THIS is how you show up for a woman who just brought a new life earthside. You pour back into her. This is so thoroughly thoughtful and wholesome🙌🏾

Literally you’re an amazing friend. I had a friend once that was like “aw I wish it was just us again” “I don’t like kids” “why would you wanna have a kid” after I literally just birthed a kid a week ago. Proceeds to tell me 4 years later that she didn’t like my kid when she was born but likes her now. I don’t talk to her any

Last year, I celebrated the ADA Anniversary at the White House. This year, I spent it on the National Mall, standing with the disability community as we fight against harmful Medicaid cuts and “work requirements” that put our care at risk. The ADA was supposed to be about progress and inclusion — not survival. We can’t stop now. Share your story, speak up, and hold Congress accountable. Behind every Medicaid dollar is a life, a family, and a fight to stay safe and cared for. #DisabilityRights #ProtectMedicaid #ADAAnniversary #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs ⸻ Alt Text: Image 1 A collage on a bright green and blue gradient background with balloons showing heart and accessibility icons. The date “07/26/2024” is at the top. The top-left circle shows a smiling young woman in pink sunglasses and a white blazer posing in front of the White House. The bottom-left circle shows her with friends smiling for a selfie. The top-right circle shows President Biden speaking at a podium outside the White House. Text reads “ADA ANNIVERSARY THEN VS…” with a red swirl arrow pointing to the next page. Image 2 A collage on a red and pink background with “NOW” in bold white text. The circles show a speaker at a podium reading “Protect Medicaid Summer,” a stage lit up with the Capitol building in the distance, a sign reading “The government has let us down,” and a young woman with pink hair facing a field of glowing orange flags with the Washington Monument in the background. Overlaid text says: “Having to fight for our care is not right. We should be celebrating and making progress towards more disability inclusion, not forcing ‘work requirements’ on people who already have so much to deal with.” Image 3 A photo framed with an orange scalloped border on a green and orange gradient background. A young woman with pink hair and sunglasses holds a bright orange sign that says “Protect Medicaid” while wearing a neon yellow vest. The Capitol dome and event tents are visible behind her. The text reads: “Many cuts don’t take effect until 2027 or 2028, meaning time is on our side. Behind every Medicaid dollar is someone’s child, someone’s parent, someone’s fight to stay home, safe, and cared for. Cuts to Medicaid mean less access to care, more medical debt, and fewer services for aging and disabled people. We must CONTINUE to share our stories, make spaces to mourn, and hold Congress accountable.”
