The biggest problem with what ICE is doing right now is that there is no due process as prescribed by the 5th Amendment. ICE is literally violating the Constitution which is the law of land. ICE is breaking the law.

Why does nobody mention that 40% of undocumented immigrants came legally and are overstaying visas? It's ridiculous to keep up with the mantra about these people who are perceived to be "jumping the border..." PLUS, being undocumented isn't a felony, and in fact it's more like a traffic citation... for anyone who hasn't committed another crime. Most who are here "illegally," aren't "criminals." They are akin to someone speeding on s highway!

Coming into the United States without authorization is a civil violation, but can also be a federal criminal offense, particularly if the person has previously been deported or has made false statements.

I think with all the talk about open borders people just literally think most illegal immigrants are coming across the border. that's not how it works most people come here legally with a Visa whether it be a work visa a student visa a tourist visa and they stay. and the penalty for that is not necessarily harsh but they still always get due process you go to court you pay fines you work with the immigration people to see if you can get a new Visa but some of it could take 10 15 or 20 years to do
