hot honey chicken sliders !! 🤎   homemade slider buns:   3/4 cup warm milk(180g) 1/4 cup warm water(60g) 1/4 cup granulated sugar(50g) 2 1/4 tsp yeast( 1 packet )(7g) 1 egg (room temp) 1/4 cup butter softened (57g) 3 1/2 - 4 cups of flour (420-480g) 1 tsp salt (6g) 1 tbsp olive oil ( for bowl )(13.5)   egg wash:    1 egg 1 tbsp milk   combine your warm water, milk, yeast & sugar mix and let sit for 5 minutes or until frothy. then add in your egg, & butter and mix, add in your dry ingredients and knead until smooth & slightly tacky( you may need to add oil to your hands to help you handle it).  place in a greased bowl & cover let rise until doubled in size ( about 1 hr ). then divide your dough into 12 equal balls (around 60g each) & shape into tight balls and set on a baking sheet to rise again(30 minutes). then brush with egg wash    bake at 375•F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and let cool. (i toasted them a bit before putting the chicken on )   ( while my dough was rising i started marinating my chicken & let my chicken sit until the buns went into the oven )   chicken:     wet: 6 chicken thighs  1 cup of buttermilk ( if you don’t have it you can do 1 cup regular milk to 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice ) 1 egg 2 tsp hot sauce 1/2 tsp garlic powder  1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper dry: 1 cup flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 tsp garlic powder  1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp chili powder ( & whatever other seasonings you like )   in a bowl, mix, buttermilk, and hot sauce and add in your spices. then add the chicken and refrigerate for 30 minutes - 4 hrs.    for your dry ingredients combine it all in a seperate bowl and set aside.    remove chicken from marinade, then dredge in flour mixture & press firmly on the chicken to help create a crust. let sit for 10 minutes before you fry.    fry in oil of your choice until golden brown on both sides ( don’t over crowd the oil it can mess with the temp and give you soggy chicken , i did 2 at a time. )   let drain before tossing in hot honey mixture    hot honey mixture:   1 tbsp butter 1/2 cup honey 1 tbsp hot sauce ( you can add more ) 1 tsp garlic powder   melt your butter in your pan & add the honey & hot sauce, stir until it starts bubbling ( just enough to heat your mixture ) & take off stove.    toss chicken in hot honey sauce & enjoy!    #hothoneychicken #hothoney #friedchicken #Recipe #baking #fyp
