I have a family member (a child), who is only half, but appears to be 100% Mexican. I have other family members who are MAGA. I asked them, what if she’s picked up while out with her dad, & caged for days before we can cut through the red tape to get her home. They said, “she’ll be fine, she’s American”. If I can’t get them to understand by using a child they love as an example, how can I make them care about complete strangers. It’s maddening.

Yeah, so you were on vacation and fell in love and had a kid. Wait how long are your vacations? I’ve never been on a vacation that lasted longer than 30 days. But in any case, maybe you should have thought about the consequences of your actions prior to having that child.
