and Elend is the perfect husband! aw! isn't it so cute? they both don't like dancing, but when vin wants to dance with elend, he takes a book out and starts reading over her shoulder mid dance. so cute! . and it only takes him dying, and a little [a lot] of arguing before he is cool with her researching alchemical mixtures. not like the ability to NEARLY STOP TIME is cannonically discovered later in the series. everyone just lets vin work herself to the bone. haha! her life is so cute! especially when she couldn't confide in a single person about her visions of her brother. something that could have completely saved Marsh. but her suffering quietly is better for the story. haha!

i love that sexism is very hard in this series because women can both be really pretty and also beat your ass, and that if a woman SEEMS like she's weak and fragile that you should definitely be afraid of her
