I was adopted as a baby and was always asked in school “don’t you want to meet your real family”? I have met them. I met them when my adopted parents (MY PARENTS) picked me up from the airport on Christmas eve in 1994. They always say I was the best Christmas gift they ever received.

I was adopted as a teen. my parents already had 2 but I look like my brother. I overheard someone ask my mom how many kids were hers and she said 3, person kept pushing "no, how many are actually YOURS" and my mom kept saying 3. person then asked which of us were her kids, my mom said all of them. person got so mad.

It’s horrible to hear but the truth is you will. If you had your own biological child you would love them more. It’s biology and how our natural instincts work. It’s not a choice, it’s nature. And if you don’t there is something seriously wrong with your mental health/natural biology.

soon to be a foster mom and our caseworker asked what I might say if someone asked why my baby doesn't look like me, specifically because our area is majority African American and I put Casper to shame. All I could say was, "because they don't look like me" lol

Y is this not a valid question? No one is taking away from the fact that, that’s your son but wouldn’t you also want a child that you conceived yourself? Love them the same way obviously but I think that’s a valid question

I have a biological daughter with my ex wife, she ended up having a daughter with someone else, she couldn’t take care of her. She moved in with us cause couldn’t separate my daughter from her sister, she calls me mommy. Definitely doesn’t feel any different between those two. They are my babies and love them both the same.

My husband adopted our son. We had 2 girls together. We get asked constantly if we’re going to have one more to “try to give my husband a son”……….he has a son, he’s 12, it just so happens he met him when he was 6 instead of a newborn.
