@signing_trend_mom: Before watching this video for context, is the video I created & mentioned that I vented and didn’t post about. Before I started seeing all of this talk about codas, before I saw deafies saying #codas are a #guest…. Okay with that said continue to watch my raw thoughts. 💭 Most likely gonna get a lot of hate for this but it has to be said #imo #IMO sooooo The label to celebrate codas is called “deaf parents day”… idk about you buttttttt…. It should be reconsidered and changed, “Again IMO” too “National Codas Day”. If not then we need to create one that literally shines on codas! Let’s make it today (when I made this video July 7th, 2025 🤔🤷‍♀️ ) or any day honestly doesn’t matter when. I #Dub w#Dubver day that codas as a whole want to make As our day of appreciation & it be called “National Codas Day” ( A day to find a Coda in the world and celebrate them in their very unique stand point between two worlds “ C.O.D.A” ) …. Please don’t take this the wrong way or twist my words that I don’t support deaf parents day, I do. “Again IMO” to be even more clear that day should only be celebrating specifically parents that are deaf… I am requesting that there needs to be something that truly celebrates a coda & codas all over. The title Deaf parents day, isn’t clear & overall does not bring coda awareness to the world around us and I personally as a born coda feel like I’m learning that the culture it self is embarrassed by our codas( something I obviously was a oblivious too “naive to this fact”). Reminds me of a time wayyyy back when hearing parents hid or treated deaf children poorly due to embarrassment or laziness or lack of understanding. Those parents, hearing ppl were wrong in doing that but that doesn’t mean all hearing or like that so stop putting hurt in the hearing codas!!!. I am fully aware Now through TikTok that codas unless you go to school to become an interpreter will always be looked down on (unless, or as long as you keep your mouth shut they will welcome you). “Codas stories life experiences doesn’t matter cause of one detail, yep you guessed it because your hearing. I keep saying this, it is Time to #breakgenerationalcycles #mindsetshift find your favorite coda and celebrate them !!! 😘😘🤟🏻 💥 #repostingiwithcaption my bad 💥
