Michael James :
Im a Christian and I dont agree with the whole rapture. I believe in the 2nd coming and Jesus bring about Hos Kingdom on earth but I domt use scripture from Revelatioms out of context as it is not a prophetic book apocaliptic poetry wrten to encourage the Christian Jews being decimated by the Roma. empire at the time

Deconstruction is a really long grueling journey but I am so thankful for God answering my prayers to break down everything I learned growing up about the words in the Bible and what it actually says.

Castman74 :
When a man gets married does he beats up his wife before he marries her? No. If we are symbolically the bride of Christ why would he beat us with the tribulation? We already went through trials on Earth why throw salt in the wound? The tribulation is for all those scoffers.

While pre-tribulation rapture theology was formalized in the 1800s, beliefs in a future catching away or resurrection of believers go back to the early church:
Scriptures often cited to support a rapture event:
• 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 – “…we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…”
• 1 Corinthians 15:51–52 – “…we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye…”
• Matthew 24:40–41 – “…one will be taken and the other left…”
Early church writings:
• Early church fathers like Irenaeus, Cyprian, and Ephraim the Syrian believed in an end-time removal or escape of the faithful from coming wrath, though their views were not as systematized or timeline-specific as modern pre-trib teachings.
• The phrase “…all the saints and elect of God are gathered…before the tribulation…” is found in a sermon attributed to Pseudo-Ephraim (ca. AD 300s–600s), which some use to suggest pre-trib beliefs existed earlier—but this is debated.
