This happened to me 20 years ago on my credit card for a $33 oil change. $33333 was put in! My card company called me immediately (credit limit was 35K). It took a few days. The panic!

The whole idea of the server entering the tip is horrible. This should all be done at the table with a handheld device that the customer enters the tip on and approves it. Why are we so far behind the rest of the world on this?

At an indoor playground one of my coworkers accidentally charged the ENTIRE party amount to the card instead of the deposit! It went through. I called them immediately and he was so freaking nice which made me feel awful! Day of party he tipped too!

mine would DECLINE lol glad the customer was cool about it because i am a server myself and man people do not give servers any grace to make mistakes.

On our POS system if someone tries to enter more than a $100.00 tip when they adjust it it will ask for a manager over ride and the manager on duty has to put their numbers in to over ride it. Ha most people don't even have that much in their accounts. Poor girl how embarrassing
