@agriculture5639: #PlantTok #TikTokLearningCampaign In this follow-up experiment, I adjusted my setup to ensure fair testing conditions. We’re analyzing how battery residues affect plant growth by comparing contaminated soil with clean soil. Now, both groups of lettuce plants have waterproof trays to avoid environmental variables. I’ll be observing root development, color changes, and growth rate. Will toxic residues impact their health? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! #PlantExperiment #ToxicSoil #BatteryResidue #UrbanGardening #SoilTest #PlantGrowth #EcoGardening #ScienceInTheGarden #LettuceTest #DIYScience #EcoExperiment #GardeningTips #GardenScience
i trusted my algorithm to bring me back. it didnt disappoint

if it’s already scientifically proven, your experiment is just polluting the soil without any benefit. how are you planning to dispose of the polluted soil?

Make sure all pots are same color, as different color pots can result in different temps and may cause results to vary.

unexpected result: plants with the batteries thrive, while the regular plants die.

I don’t think it a concern for the lettuce rather a concern for the consumer of the lettuce

If you do this again, it probably makes sense to “blend” the battery material into the soil to better replicate read world conditions. There may be a difference between a root hitting concentrated battery “stuff” vs absorbing the material that’s leached all throughout the soil. Also, maybe put them in a line (test, control, test, control, etc.) so that one side doesn’t block the other side.
