I didn’t allow screen time except for long car rides or medical waiting rooms when mine were young; & now they’re both aggravated by the ‘gen z stare’ like I am lol. Chronic screen kids are often painfully lacking in patience & social skills, unfortunately :( I don’t think once in a while would cause issues, though..

No screen time and learn how to sit still and patiently wait, basically manners. They need to learn to be okay with being bored/doing absolutely nothing. Do not let kids run around and play, a restaurant is not a playground. Restaurant workers are not baby sitters.
