My mom was asked out by a serial killer, this was in Michigan, but I can't remember his name. She was in a criminal justice class with him and she got bad vibes from him and told him no. She warned me my whole life not to trust people just because they're charming and good looking because even they can be serial killers. She always used the guy that asked her out as an example, and also Ted Bundy as an example. 🤣

We have a very famous unsolved case called the Oakland County Child Killer in Michigan as well. My mom tells me all the time her neighbor had the same car as they were saying he did, but a different color. They never ended up finding out who he was. They were still finding bodies in like 2017-2018, right by where I lived. They actually hit water pipes when they were digging them up and we all had to go on a boil water warning for a week.

I live in Michigan and never heard of him. I know a somewhat recent guy was Jeffrey Willis who was responsible for a few women in the Muskegon area! One woman escaped him. I remember the whole thing. Super scary

Unrelated fun fact, I live in a small town in Michigan and when my family first moved to our current house I was 3-4 years old, within the first year and a half of living here our neighbor shot her husband and hid in the cornfield behind our house!

Lately I've been diving into a lot of crime content, and it got me curious about the psychology behind it all. I randomly came across a book called Exquisite Psychopath by Johan Brones and wow, it really shifted how I look at people and the way some hide darker sides behind a perfect image. Just felt like sharing in case someone else finds it as eye-opening.
