It also marks the final flagship K-TAI model that Sony produced for NTT DoCoMo. A standout gimmick of this model is the U-shaped illumination light strip along the front edge. It works in tandem with an acceleration sensor when the user tilts the phone in a certain direction, the light flows in that direction according to gravity. SHARP later adopted a similar idea for the SH-10C in 2011. The hinge is a 2-axis rotating design, allowing the screen to swivel in multiple directions. On the back, there’s a 3-step adjustable kickstand for hands-free TV and media viewing. If any improper force is applied during use, the kickstand automatically folds back into its original stored position to prevent damage.
