We have a saying/philosophy here in Denmark (and the rest of scandinavia) “der findes ikke dårligt vejr, kun dårlig påklædning”. Which translates to something along the lines of “no such thing as bad weather, only wrong attire”

Norwegian here - I had a similar experience with Scotland. They would have warnings and changes to public services with very little snow, whereas Norway would still be running with several meters of snow.

Yes! I used to work and stay a lot in Denmark, and always felt they embraced the dark in a way we in the UK never could. It never felt oppressive, it was like a warm blanket.
