Hello! Licensed Medical Technologist here. Don’t be offended po pero huwag po sana nating ipromote na bumili ng urine strips at tayo lang din ang mag babasa ng parameters. Easy as it may seems, pero we just cannot diagnose UTI (urinary tract infection) dahil lang positive sa leukocytes, or, may “jabetis” dahil positive sa glucose. May mga factors po tayo na nicoconsider at the same time, part lang ang urine strip reading sa whole procedure ng “urinalysis”. Please, don’t waste your money buying such. Mainam pa rin po na magpa consult sa doctor upang mabigyan ng tamang diagnosis. Remember, DO NOT SELF-DIAGNOSE, DO NOT SELF-MEDICATE. Ligtas ang may alam!

Hi there! medtech here! Friendly reminders, wag po tayo mag self medicate 🤗 hindi lahat ng oras naka base sa urine strip if may UTI ka po if iba pang sakit 🤗 hindi lang po nagtatapos sa urine strip test para malaman pag may UTI ka , need din po ng Microscope para makita mga elements na present sa ihi natin, need din po natin ng doctor for interpretation. k bye! ingat! 😅

@Anjellycaaa RMT✨: Sa routine urinalysis,may three phases kami. First yung physical analysis: color clarity etc. second yung chemical analysis yung ginagawa mo nayan sa strip yan yon, and ang pinakaimportante ay yung third, which is microscopic analysis. Hindi pwede na sa strip ka lang magrerely gawa kinocorrelate namin yan sa makikita namin sa microscopic. May cases na nag kakaroon ng color change sa strip lalo na sa blood kahit walang red blood cells na nakita sa microscope. (pwedeng myoglobinuria etc.) tapos nag cocolor change din ang leukocyte kapag maraming epithelial cells. Kaya di pwede mag rely lang sa chemical strip :) nakalagay din jan na “for professional use only”

seryoso ni? lisod kaayo ni studyhan tapos “you can do this at home?” pls lang. there are certain conditions we need to consider because the results may be influenced with different factors causing false positive and false negative results plus there are parameters correlated with each other. The urine strip alone doesn’t diagnose UTI, it needs a microscopic analysis. DIY Urine strips “picture” are not recognized by doctors.

mali po yung oras ng reading, mali din po yung pagboblot nyo. Ang interpretation ng results sa strip should be done by medtech and ang overall results po ay doctor lang.
