@stopanimalabusecruelty: To be honest, I haven’t donated any cat food to Wayne’s shelter in a long time. The struggle of paying vet bills, foster fees, and countless other costs never stops. But I know every genuine rescuer out there is struggling—just like we are. Whenever I can, I still try to support other shelters that are doing their best with so little. Wayne is one of those rescuers. He cares for over 100 cats, and he’s one of the hardest-working people I know. For the past two years, wherever there was a cat truck, Wayne was there—on the frontline to save lives. But now, even he can’t afford to rescue more. Not because he doesn’t want to… but because the ongoing cost of caring for his current rescues has become overwhelming. Like every genuine rescue, he’s short on labour, volunteers, and resources.
