my diluted orange isn't a lapsitter either he loves pets and scratches tho and laying on my side when I sleep. he even tells me when its bedtime and tucks me in. he does the same with my hubby too. His motor runs loudly though 😁

I have a cat like that. She also started out feral. I only get to pet on her for a short few minutes at a time - always if it’s her idea. Never lays in my lap. I do the same as you and accept her the way she is and appreciate the short times I get to hear her purr softly.

my kitty isn't super cuddly and when she is she has to be coaxed into it. but I know she loves my wife and I so much bc she almost always is laying only an arms length away from one of us, hates it when we leave, begs for pets when we come back, and kneads or lays all of our clothes :") she's an anxious baby but that doesn't make her love any smaller
