@cuddleswpuddles: I DON’T HAVE A FUNCTIONING IMMUNE SYSTEM. All progress thus far has been due to Paxlovid. #awareness #immunocompromised #immunodeficiency #chronicillness #chronicillnessawareness
Thanks for testing and protecting others! I tested positive for 13 days in 2022! The CDC lowering quarantine period to 24 hrs if no fever was beyond ridiculous! Some doctors will prescribe second course of paxlovid. That’s what Biden got every time he had it 😏

Everyone needs to assume 10 days at minimum. 3-5 is unrealistic for MANY people. A majority.

sorry didn't even get to the end of the video. actually that's not What your positive test means. rebound is a very specific thing. It means that you test negative and then 5 to 10 days later test positive. So you would experience a period of feeling better, your test results would go all the way down to the point that you are non-contagious and then after a period of time they start to go back up. What you're experiencing is just regular covid.

Girl, 14-21 days is average. 3-5 days is what late stage capitalism requires of workers.

I very much appreciate that you are being considerate and trying not to pass it on.
if it's an appointment where you can wear a mask, if it's well fitted, you could still go imho, if you and the other person wear masks, transmission is actually very very unlikely

I’m sorry you’re still testing positive! You need two negative rapid tests 48 hours apart to more safely exit isolation! It’s normal to be sick with acute Covid for 2-3 weeks. Keep resting and taking care!

You need two negative home tests, 48 hours apart, to be considered negative. Stay home for a week and wear a respirator mask if you absolutely have to go out.

What tests do you use? (I need to test family returning home to my immunocompromised self, and am looking at options)

I was more positive after Paxlovid than before if that makes sense. It did not decrease my viral load at all and tested blazing positive for 2+ weeks.

I’m so sorry to hear, get well soon! I’ve had it twice now, first time I was fine but needed to take. Paxlovid both times. Second time I got rebound covid but it took I think a week or so after my negative test before it showed up. I hope it’s nothing, but if it isn’t,take care of yourself!

That was an extraordinarily unrealistic expectation. And that's not your fault, the public has this poor expectation because that's the way the CDC laid it out. But it can take people 21 days even with paxlovid before they test negative. Even if you had tested negative this morning, you still would have had to wear a mask. The CDC recommends you do so for 5 days after infection.

Both times I’ve had Covid and taken Paxlovid, rapids have still been bright red after I finished. No rebound though. Some people just have slower immune systems!

Girl, I tested positive for 20 straight days even with Paxlovid. Which, I ironically makes me grateful for it because COVID would clearly kill me!
