I go for IVIG and we do gravity drip, I watch the bottle when it starts getting low and start singing 🎶 tiny bubbles 🎶 when it gets time to switch bottles. Some of us, me its me, are just not ready for drinks with the Lord. 😂

My ID Dr. gave me a pic line and I had to do my own IV at home. You should have seen me fighting them tiny bubbles 🫧 until I was satisfied that I wasn't going with the Lord 🤣🤣🤣

I was typing out that I’ve purposely injected more air than that when you mentioned bubble studies. 😂 It’s a bit nerve wracking the first time you do it, but it’s so cool to watch the bubbles on the echo.

So I'm a young boomer & we've been told as along as I can remember that any air bubbles that get into your blood stream will go to your heart & unalive you.

I was just in the ER for a migriane cocktail. I watched the few little bubbles go right on through my IV just thankful my head didn't feel like it was trying to unalive me any longer thanks to the magic in that IV bag 🤣

I had an appy in 1978. I was in my last semester of nursing school. I said something to one of the Dr. (med student I knew from clinicals) and he told me it would take way more. Never worried about the occasional little bubble.

In vet medicine we usually have to get it out . We don’t have all those fancy machines in most offices. But no you don’t have to freak out!!

As a patient, I used to freak out when I saw a bubble until a great nurse told me exactly what you’re saying. Thank you for getting the word out!!

Every nursing school should teach that rhyme!
Didn't do much floor nursing, but even in the old days we didnt worry about pea size bubbles.
