@cristi_timo: This month, my book club read Kaikeyi by Vaishnavi Patel. It retells the Hindu epic Ramayana from the perspective of Queen Kaikeyi. I’m not typically a fan of YA novels, but this book was very different from your typical YA story, as it leaned into its religious and cultural themes. I loved exploring the relationship dynamics between Kaikeyi, her children, husband, sister wives, and community. It was so fun to sit in Central Park, drink pink lemonade, and learn more about Hindu mythology from our desi book club members. #newyorkcity #bookclub #kaikeyibook
