I can't believe anyone is still being fooled by "pet fooled" in this day and age. That nonsense should be removed from all platforms. 🙄

a lot of Dachshunds lately are passing from lymphoma. which is very evirimental. It happens. Cancer is also taking my brother in law right now, 45 years old, husband, 4 kids under 16, and he has a rare cancer that has no cure, and he has to have cemo for the rest of his life in order to extend his life. cancer sucks 😡

Maybe her dog died of DM prior to testing? Idk. Her comment doesn’t say how long ago this was, so just my thoughts. Hip dysplasia can and does happen even in reputable/ethical breeders litters.

My last gsd passed at 12 from lung cancer. Ate kibble her whole life. Squamous cell in my 19yr old cat that got minimal vaccines and ate friskies her whole life. Shit happens. I also lost my dad from horrible cancer.

My neighbor’s shepherd mix had to be put down at 3 because he had an aggressive skin cancer and was covered head to toe in tumors 🙁

exactly. My sisters dog passed away about 9 months ago from cancer. He was 11 and came from one of the top breeders in the country with many champion dogs.

My boy is a Mali cross, I had him tested for HD and MD. He's clear on both. He's a kibble fed boy.

Cancer took my 10 yr old soul dog. No other issues. She was playing on the beach on Saturday night and was taken from me the next day. My heart still hurts.

I love when people are like “I have AKC papered dog” when let’s be honest. would practically register a sentient booger wearing a collar as long as its parents were AKC-registered and somebody paid the fee. 😭

Intestinal Lymphoma took one of my cats. Theres just nothing you can do to fully prevent cancer. You can do preventative measures but its no guarantee and breeds can be more or less prone to cancers but at the end of the day its cancer. And its awful. It took family members from me aswell. With pets what tends to suck is sometimes you dont catch it til they show symptoms and animals really dont like showing symptoms. I didnt catch Zulus lymphoma til it was already late stage and terminal. He was a good boy (kinda weird lookin he was half maine coon and half oriental shorthair 😭)

wild animals get cancer. if completely natural and raw is the cure, wild animals would not get cancer.

My 11 year old shepherd was just diagnosed with high grade lymphoma this past Wednesday 😥 she seems just fine for an older girl but the vet gives her 2-6 months.

You can try to breed out some cancers but it would take probably a long time to do that. Some cancers are genetically linked. You can reduce the cancer risk for some cancers, but not for all of them.
