@arianaryefoundation: Ariana stopped having life threatening events in the car seat after we did this. We used the Hensinger Collar in Ariana’s car seat because of her cerebral palsy/low muscle tone. Without it, she couldn’t support her head or upper body on her own, especially during car rides. She would try so hard to sit upright that it would often cause her to choke or struggle to breathe. The collar helped keep her airway open, reduced strain on her body, & allowed her to ride in a more supported, relaxed position.
