Jim Thorpe is such a boring place... tourist hell for the people who actually live there. the people are really mean for no reason, too. uptown is so much more depressing looking than downtown (the actual touristy area) and fall foliage is the worse.... very pretty place because of the mountains, but it sucks 😮💨

I get this. However, I have lived a bit of a lot of places. Born in Kansas and raised in Texas, lived a lot of states after that. I currently live in PA and while it’s not the flashiest of places, the people here seem genuine and real. There is a wide range of architecture and types of residents. There are places that have been abandoned and places that have been cherished, all here to be discovered and share their stories. I honestly like this place and see its value. But personal preference I guess. 💕
