I always say I’m Xennial. I’m 42 but my experience has a lot of alignment with Gen X because I was raised by Greatest Generation great grandparents.

I’m 66 gen x and feel the windows are too broad. I went to college with a typewriter. Cable wasn’t a thing for small towns until mid 80’s when some gen x were babies and beyond my babysitting years. We actually had a shared “party line” with our neighbors and had to check they weren’t using the line before making a call. Were you able to disappear for hours with no one caring? Were you cooking hamburger helper at 8 years old to feed your sibs because that was expected because your parents were working? Some say I could be gen jones. I think this nearly 20 year window is too broad. Especially with modern tech advancement.
