Millennials and younger Gen-X grew up around smokers. It took parents and grandparents young, it made them and us smell, and the media message was on top of it. Now there is no messaging (smoking is hardly in most media), and 🍃💨 acceptance (which is fine) has brought smoking back into visibility.

and like, presumably they'll drive and/or work in a company. When that company tries something exploitative or heinous, we want people to speak out, and when driving we dont want intrusive thoughts to take over when you see a crowd of say... protestors?

They fail to realize just how interconnected their actions are. These choices that may seem simple have a rippling effect. If a large percentage of the population becomes incredibly unhealthy and have this collective anxiety/mental health crisis, that is EVERYONES problem.

If we're going this hard for vaping, why not alcohol which is a carcinogen? Even wine. All alcohol causes cancer. Multiple types of cancer. I don't vape or drink, but why stop at vaping? Keep it going.
