I had a dnd character who was a king, except. No one told him. He was out of the country when that was decided and the letter they sent never got to him. We never reached this point in the campaign but when they got back people were gonna start referring to him as king and he was just gonna go “WHAT. WHAT. NO. I DON’T WANT TO. USURP ME PLEASE.”
