I was not prepared for teenage boys. I have all boys (3 total) and it is a very quiet house cause do not talk often. So when they do I have to immediately stop whatever I am doing so they know I am actively listening. My sisters have mostly girls and they are always chit chatting with and over each other and giggling and I watch and think how nice that would be. But by the end of my time with them I have a headache. So boys all the way for me.

As teenagers my brothers and I were still close with my mom so it definitely just depends on the dynamic you create in your household.

Oh no no. It’s completely opposite. I have a 12 year old girl, who is just cranky 24/7. (She desperately needs to start her cycle so her hormones even out!)
