Slice the potatoes thin with a mandolin and toss with grated onion, oil and salt and pepper in a bowl then oil in the pan with some butter and shingle it all in and around the sides. This will be the pan you cook it all in and will flip everything over. Use another pan for the meat and mixed pasta mixture in another then when its all cooked, put it on top of the sliced potatoes cooking in and finish it in the oven
