Hmmm how often do you change the seating . I teach kindergarten and change it a few times at the beginning of the year and another time towards the end of the year. ELs, IEP, glasses seat at the front of class, front of the line, and desks closest to my desk. It key to have assigned seating but during independent time flexible seating , mobile desks, rockers, library table/counch, and Jedi station. Works very well . Yes my classroom is Star Wars themed if you were wondering!
