one thing i’ve been focusing on is shifting from just saying "no" to actually explaining why mommy said no or why we are doing x. believe it or not, toddlers may not be able to regulate their emotions, but they’re pretty dang smart if you just get to their level and explain. example: ✨ instead of “stop throwing food” and getting upset → try “food stays on our plate so it can be clean when we eat it. If you throw it on the floor, food gets dirty and yucky. we want to eat our food. food stays on our plate. when you're done, just tell mommy 'all done'” it won’t always stop the tantrums or work 100% of the time if their emotions are ALREADY in high gear, but it does help them understand why you're saying or doing certain things. 🫶 i’m no expert, just a mama learning as i go & sharing what’s been helpful. #ConsciousParenting #GentleParenting #HolisticMama #MotherhoodUnfiltered #RaisingLittleHumans #MomLife
