@amandamelrose: Many people homeschool because their school options don't teach things that align with their family values. This is a perfectly valid reason! #homeschool #homeschooling #homeschoolers
Most parents don’t take the time or have the necessary resources and information and knowledge on how to properly teach a child and that’s where the problem is

I think its because teaching at a school you have professionals people who are trained and knows in that specific area whereas parents dont really know wtf their doing . like you aren't gonna get the same quality of learning and teaching from a non professional.

As a homeschooled kid, it's because most states don't require any over site for homeschoolers. We had to register with the state, then opt for the yearly testing or have a supervising teacher to make sure we were on track. That's the issue

Cuz your gonna teach “this is god, god made this this and this, we do this bc of god, you don’t do this bc of god, this is wrong and this is right cuz that’s what god says” meanwhile not focusing on social life, genuine reading and writing levels as well as overall talking

Ok, but you are doing that to keep the child from learning or being exposed to things. Most atheists dont mind if their child is exposed to religion.

Translation: schools teach fact-based science, and that doesn't jive with my religious fanaticism, so I'm going to try to brainwash my child into never questioning the dogma that I subscribe to.

homeschooling a child in a religious setting makes it easy to groom the child, family members aren't as safe as you think and usually being in a public setting is safe for children and allows a place for kids to seek help for abuse that may be happening at home

it’s because you’re unequipped to teach children and these children therefore become unequipped to be adults

Religious schools are private and charge tuition. There isn’t religious indoctrination in public schools, so an atheist family - or any other family - need not worry about religious indoctrination. There was even a Supreme Court case that passed recently that speaks to this very issue. This analogy, like many others, completely misses the mark.
