Moi was vice president for 10yrs, president for 24yrs. Ruto was deputy president for 10yrs and now president for 5yrs. In total, Kalenjins have been in the presidency for 49yrs. This is more than Kikuyus have been in the presidency. Kalenjin land should be the most developed but it’s not. Their leaders eat everything forgetting their people. From Nandi County here🤚 Lemme just say, our County is not even getting an ounce of development. Most of my village hakuna stima, no piped water, barabara sahii haipitiki, hadi lori ya majani chai hukwama and people just suffer loses. Last Dec nilikua home and the village elder came kwetu kuniuliza vile Nairobi kuko, and then went ahead to advice me not to join mambo ya Gen Z. Mimi ni Gen Z. I just laughed nervously. My mum later told me not to talk politics criticizing gov ya Ruto because she knows what happened to Nandis who didn't support Ruto/ Rao and PEV ya 2007. Watu walichomewa nyumba and property if you were known umevote for Kibaki. I just feel bad for our people. Most youth drop out of school or just finish form 4 and that's the end of the road. Poverty iko juu. Schools are in poor states, hadi zingine hakuna glass ya window. We still have a lot of teenage pregnancies... I know these issues si za Ruto kudeal nazo peke yake, but the county hadi constituency level hakuna development and any corruption esp kwa County is protected from the top.

I our ward, and also so many other in nyeri every home has electricity, our mp( wandeto)had some contract with kenya power, those who even did,nt have money to do wiring or buy meter box, other villagers helped to purchase for them
