I get mineral rights but leasing land that a house is built on is nothing but a scam to the uninformed and usually lower income families. This type of thing should be illegal in Texas

How do you know about ground leases? Of course a realtor could find out but is it listed somewhere? I’ve also heard newer metros like Celina you have to pay a MUD tax

I get Zillow calls and I get those two all the time!!!! I just warn them upfront that the ground has to be leased out for 75 years.

No McKinney is just north of Allen, which is just north of Plano which is just north of Richardson which is just north of Dallas :)
