For my family, this is what works well: ✅ strategic screen use ✅ early reading and the love of reading ✅ homeschooling until high school (at least) I do believe that the modern school system is atrocious, with the exception of outliers. The guidelines are based on averages and estimations. Kids can read at 3. If they love reading. Will your kid be lost if they can’t read by 5 or 6? No. Is it a boon if they learn to read early? Yes. Ultimately works for someone may not work for someone else. Parents know what’s best for their kids. Your kids are great.
