Is it bad to change the rooms in which the crate is in throughout the first week? Do they adjust to the room and the crate or just the crate being the safe space..?

I agree. My 9 week old golden is panicking and pooping immediately when he goes in. Everyday for a week. Tonight I just can’t clean the crate. He’s sleeping on the floor next to me perfect

Yeah we couldn’t crate train, ours slept with us since he was 2 months old, he is now 11 months & sleeps fine on his own without a crate.

How long would you let them cry? My pup does really well in the crate overall - he has a hard time when I leave the room and he hears people out and about lol I have sound machines going, AC, a shirt with my scent and a smelly sock.
