I lost my dad 10 days ago. Our birthdays are coming up. We use to always celebrate together and I considered skipping it but I think I’ll make a cake with both oir names on it like we always use to. Thank you 💕

Omg the best tradition!! We do a “deathaversary” get together every year and give my Mima an update on what happened the last year. We got her an ice cream “happy deathaversary diva” cake, make her favorite foods, and celebrate her life 💞💓💕

My brother passed away a few years ago; one of the last things I asked him was “do you think that’s a good idea?” He asked for cake. I hold on to that so much. This is such a beautiful reminder to just have the cake 🎂🤍 I love you guys 🫶🏼

My dad passed 19 years ago on 7/31 and he loved getting “just because” cakes that weren’t for any special occasion. So this year that’s exactly what I’ll be doing! You’re right, they wouldn’t want us to be sad🩷🍰

I was 20 when my dad passed. FF 15 yrs I was pregnant and due 5/21. Dr said you’re ready I can induce you on 5/18. I said YES. That’s my dad’s bday. He was born with red hair - like my dad. So now we celebrate my dad & my son on 5/18.

My dad passed in 2017- he loved Dairy Queen banana splits, so across the world there are groups of people celebrating him by having a Dairy Queen on July 1. Everyone shares photos each year. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate him!!! Glad you can too!!!! This year was crazy as we cashed him Superman, his funeral was Superman themed. DQ has Superman movie theme going on- I had a Superman Blizzard. 💚

It was until my son was born on my mom's birthday that I realized it had been 20 years since her last one on earth. She passed 12 days later. He just turned 11..so 31 years. It often feels like it was only yesterday. Here's to your dad, happy birthday!
