Giirrrllllll I COMPLETELY disagree with you. They didn’t plan to get pregnant. Tampon locked her in the house without her being okay with it. Rhys made her apart of the process. She was good with being protected in that bubble. Rhys never USED her as a weapon. He supported HER choice in wanting to help. Rhys ALWAYS gave her the opportunity to CHOOSE. Big difference.

I never understood the Tamlin hate. He was just trying to keep her safe and he had severe PTSD from everything too. His whole family was slaughtered in their sleep and then he watched the woman he loves be murdered too! All right in front of him and he wasn’t able to do anything about it all.

It’s a Persephone and Hades retelling. Hades abducts Persephone, keeps her imprisoned in the underworld, tricks Persephone into binding herself to him. In classic Stockholm syndrome, Persephone falls in love with Hades cause he does things like MAKING HER QUEEN which was unheard of I guess, and gives her the illusion that she’s ruling over the underworld with him.

guys!! why does everybody forget that she is free to roam around as long as she has guards... like she goes to the villages to help the people, but they don't want her around so they dismiss her everytime. She is invited to many hints and parties that she decline.... like why does everybody think she is locked up?? 😭😭

Tamlin wasn’t even keeping her Locked up either. He only sheilded her in the manor one time because she was trying to run straight into danger. All the other times , She could go out on rides as long as she had an escort, which is not unreasonable. He even encouraged her to go out .he just didn’t want her training because once she started using her powers it would be a magnet for all those who wanted to do her harm, which is exactly what we see happen once she uses her powers outside of the safety of Velaris .The Attor tracks directly to her. Rhysand intentionally uses her as bait (unbeknowst to her, surprise 🙄) to bring the Attor to him for his own gain. The only reason she was safe training in Velaris is because it was warded and secret. Tamlin was absolutely in the right when he told her he couldn’t train her right now when the enemy was swarming on all sides.

I will be SO satisfied if he turns out to be evil (and will fully retract my future insult to her writing skills in the event of) because I’ve been calling out that crazy from day one but alas I don’t think so, I think she really does just think she’s written a “good” bad boy who can do no wrong. Her characters motives and their writing really aren’t that complicated, and I don’t think she has the technical ability to plan that far ahead and pull it off purely due to looking at her ability to write complicated emotions/character arcs in general.

Things like this make me feel that you see what you want to see. If you have unhealthy relationships you’re going to think Tamlin is good. Rhys gave her a voice, gave her a choice, gave her strength.

Here's the thing, I don't see it as being either "he's good and loves her" or "is evil and purely using her". I see it as BOTH. I think he's a bad guy for sure, but I still think he loves her in his weird unhealthy way (to the point that he's capable of) and she is not perfectly "good" herself and is okay with that. Their dynamic isn't one of two "heros" by any stretch, but I just can't see her as some innocent little lamb being led around on his string. I kind of see them like Cole and Phoebe from charmed. He may be influencing her to a point sure, but they're mates for a reason. I think they're more alike than we believe at first.
