One of my students would come give me hug during our morning check ins and I make sure to hug until they’re ready to let go. Check in is 10 minutes, she stayed the whole time & it didn’t bother me

pencils, crayons, glue sticks, etc. they are in supply drawers for them to grab when they need them. they don't even have to ask!

Same …. But I’m going to add. Pencils. Life is too short to worry about pencils. If you need one, get one baby. I lose things daily also.

I teach Prk. One thing I don’t care about is if they share. If you ask nicely and they say no…then it’s a no. I’m not forcing anyone to share.

I’m a math middle school sped teacher and YES. Girl you never know what these kids are going through. One of my students would come to school tired - she was tired at foster mom’s house bc she shared a room w a roommate. The fact that she was at school, is a celebration itself. If she didn’t work, I’d sit with her, go for a walk, or maybe reduce the work load to make it more accessible to her. 🤍 I was never demanding with her. Always accepting, empathetic,
